Our 2011 trip to Guadix Circuit left us in no doubt that we’d be heading back there some day. Well, that day has become days and it’s the first Friday, Saturday and Sunday in November. The weather will be about perfect and since we know the place already, everything is in place and ready to go. Various packages including accommodation, bike transport and track time are available from just £299.

MP4 gets on the brakes..
2012 car track day season underway.
Saturday January 21st saw the first EasyTrack car track day of 2012 at the popular Bedford Autodrome (next Car Track Day @ Bedford Autodrome: Saturday 18th February). Cars of all shapes and sizes turned out for the day but one that caught our eye was one of the new McLaren MP4.

What are EasyTrack RaceDays and how do they differ from Track Days?
If you’ve had any trackday experience you’ll know of the one thing trackdays all have in common: they are non-competative and no timing is allowed. It’s the way it’s always been in the UK and there are good reasons for it. After all, it’s a trackday right, not a race?
What if you’re ready for a bit of fun and friendly competition? A bit of timing? A bit of a challenge?
What if you don’t want to go to the commitment and expense of entering a race series?
What if your friend says they are a second a lap quicker than you, but you know better?
The answer is the EasyTrack RaceDay series = trackdays with a difference!
Designed to be informal, sociable trackday based events with a great atmosphere and a bit of fun and safe competition to spice things up.
We’ll make it clear from the start, there are no large packs of vehicles racing hell bent on hitting one another. Indeed most rules are the same as track days and should be approached as such but with some “gentleman’s competition” thrown in.
Most of the competition element is either against the clock or taking the form of autotests and skill challenges. However, you will still get the thrill of a controlled Grand Prix start and sometimes, side by side drag-style challenges.
Excellent selection of European tracks chosen for their need for skill to define results rather than power.
- Tracks in easy driving distance of the UK.
- No special modifications or equipment needed on cars/bikes.
- Min 2 day events at each circuit and even a challenge series across different tracks through the year.
- Prizes (sort of!), both for the events individually and for the series challenge.
- More track time than you can handle – you can even treat these days as normal track days if you wish.
- On-site breakfast & lunch – no need to hunt around a strange country!
- On-site camping included where possible.
- Free UK track day included (sometimes)!
Don’t feel nervous, just come and join the fun. They are still great track days but we’ll all but guarantee you’ll want to take part in the competition activities once you see the sort of smiles it puts on peoples faces.
