This guide is meant simply as that a guide not gospel. It is not necessarily how you will find the circuit to drive, but should give you some idea of what you will be doing:
Goodwood is one of the faster circuits, but it’s also a historic circuit so the run-off is not what it could be in some places.
Most famous in it’s early days for claiming the career ending crash of Stirling Moss, its better known these days for it’s excellent Festival of Speed & Revival Meetings.

You exit the (somewhat cramped) pits with enough track going down to Madgwick to build up some reasonable speed. Don’t turn in to early and check your reference points. Losing it here will almost certainly mean a trip into the gravel trap. You’ll be pushed to the left of the circuit as you apply full acceleration towards Fordwater.

Some like a small lift as they get to this corner. Stay in the middle of the track and you’ll naturally find yourself on the left again as you arrive for "No Name".
Careful here as it’s a deceptively fast corner and you need to get it right to make sure you are set up for St Mary’s. It’s caution all the way in those two.
You’ll then go through a quick up and down in order to arrive at Levant. This double corner is one of the hardest to get right. It’s then power all the way down the longest straight with some HEAVY braking needed as you arrive at Woodcote. Care is needed here as cars often reach their top speed on the straight and the run off at Woodcote is not exactly large. There is then a chicane of tyres before you attack the start/finish straight again.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to stringent noise restriction imposed by the Council and Goodwood the following applies:
105db days are limited to 5 cars on track at any one time.
98db days are limited to 10 cars on track at any one time.
Although some events are open pit-lane format, this is not unlimited due to the above restrictions
There is NO appeal process for these rules.
